2016 Trend For Messenger

There are so many reasons why people love the Messenger app that is developed by facebook, and the messenger team's goal for the app for 2016 will make you love it all the more. An article posted on the facebook official newsroom/blog by David Marcus a VP of the messenger app team on January 7, 2016 unveiled some of the team's plan for the app for 2016.
Here are five (5) of the team's plan for the app.

Phone Number Disappearance
The means of communication is constantly evolving, if you think back, you will remember that SMS and texting came in the time of flip phones. Now however, the function of phone is much more than making calls and sending sms, phones are now more like computer in our pockets. This means that, as flip phone is disappearing, so also old communication styles are disappearing. If you are conversant with the messenger app, you will notice that the app offers varieties of features that make texting popular, features like sending of stickers, photos, videos, voice clips, GIFs, location and also money to people.
Very soon, you will be able to make video and voice calls without needing to know someone's phone number, because you will not need to have a facebook account to us Messenger anymore. More to that, Messenger will be cross platform enabled, available to Desktop computer, tablet and phone users.

Threads Are The New Apps
Because of the radical change in how people engage, the Messenger team is thinking about how they can help their app user interact with businesses and service to buy items, order rides, purchase airline tickets, and talk to customer service in a delightful way. Because of the great success of their early tests in 2015 with brands, they promise to continue making it easy of users to engage with businesses, and they will also do more to enable additional businesses and services to build the right experience in conversation. So you need not jump from one app to another, since you can do everything in one place.

 We're All Social Beings
Because humans love to share, chat, debate, discuss and inform, the improvement coming to Messenger will gives it's users (you) many tools to help you personalize your conversations to matter who you are talking to. This is because the Messenger team is always looking for ways to enable you build your own space to communicate just the way you want. One to one messages are not the only option, groups are also included just to make sure you do not miss anything when you are not together with friends, family, and coworkers in person.

Innovation Matters
The test of M, a digital virtual assistant, powered by human-trained AI, is going well, Marcus says. The purpose is to bring unparalleled convenience to simple everyday tasks like booking of restaurant, sending flowers, and making plans.

It's All About Delight
Though the Messenger team want all your experiences to be delightful and helpful, and to make your life easier, they also want to empower you so that you could put a smile on the faces of those who matter the most to you, because of this, build products that solve real problems for people is their focus.

David Marcus concluded by saying: "The whole Messenger team is excited about the year ahead, and as the year goes by, about unveiling what we have in store for you. We hope you'll enjoy these improvements."
